Hero Equipment in Clash of Clans is a feature that significantly enhances the capabilities of your Heroes. Introduced on the 2023 Christmas Update, it's available from Town Hall level 8.

Hero Equipment Explained

This system allows players to equip their heroes with various items, each providing unique abilities or enhancements.

Similar to equipment in RPG games, these items can be thought of as special gear that boosts your heroes' performance in battles, and each Hero has two slots, being able to use 2 equipments at the same time.

Unlocking Hero Equipment

To access and manage Hero Equipment, players must utilize the Blacksmith, a building that unlocks at Town Hall 8.

As you progress through the Town Hall levels, you unlock new pieces of equipment for your heroes as you upgrade the Blacksmith. Each upgrade of the Blacksmith unlocks additional equipment.

Even tough the Blacksmith unlocks some equipments, each hero features some standard equipments that are unlocked from the begining, when you build their altars.

Rarities

Equipment comes in two rarities – Common and Epic. Common equipment are unlocked by upgrading the Blacksmith or they come standard with the Heroes, while Epic Equipment are unlocked through special events.

Active and Passive Abilities

Each piece of equipment possesses abilities that are either active (requiring manual activation during battle) or passive (always active without player input).

Upgrading Equipment

Upgrading Hero Equipment requires specific resources known as Ores. There are different types of Ores, such as Shiny, Glowy, and Starry ores.

These Ores can be acquired through various means like the Home Village star bonus, Clan Wars, or purchasing from the Trader or in-game shop.

Players need to tap on the equipment in the Blacksmith and use the accumulated Ores to upgrade the equipment. As your Blacksmith levels up, the maximum ore capacity also increases.

Strategies & Tips

Adaptation to Battle Scenarios

The choice of Hero Equipment should align with your overall attack strategy and the specific challenges of the enemy base. For example, equipment that enhances hero survivability might be preferred for bases with heavy defenses.

Combining Equipment for Synergy

Players should consider the synergistic effects of different pieces of equipment. Some combinations might be more effective for certain battle tactics or enemy layouts.

Limitations and Exceptions

It's important to note that Hero Boost Potions do not upgrade or enhance the stats of your equipment.
